Duplicate shifts showing

Guide for when duplicate shifts showing.

Duplicate Shifts Showing on the Roster

There are two common reasons why duplicate shifts may appear.

Employee Clocked On Late

If an employee clocks in late, the original planned shift may no longer be available on the T&A unit.
In this case, the employee creates a TEMP shift to clock in.

This results in:

  • The planned shift showing as not clocked on (red border)

  • The TEMP shift showing as clocked on (green border)

This is expected behaviour.

Rostering Template Issue

Duplicate shifts can also happen if a roster template contains extra shifts.

How to check a template:

  • Find a blank week

  • Apply the template

  • Check that only the expected shifts appear

If extra shifts show, the template will need updating.

Removing Duplicate Future Shifts

If the duplicate shifts are in the future, you can remove them:

  1. Log in to CareBlox and open the Payroll module.

  2. Click Attendance.

  3. Select Roster.

  4. Go to the dates with the duplicate shifts.

  5. Right‑click one of the duplicated shifts.

  6. Click Delete Shift.
