This issue can happen if there are formatting errors in the employee record. Common causes include:
The employee’s first or last name is not capitalised
The Employee ID contains extra spaces
How to Fix It
Log in to CareBlox and open the Payroll module.
Click Employees.
Double‑click the employee’s name to open their record.
Check the name fields:
Make sure the Forename and Surname start with a capital letter.
Check the Employee ID:
Highlight the ID to check for extra spaces.
Click Change next to the Employee ID.
Enter a temporary ID (e.g. 9999999) and click Save.
Click Change again.
Re‑enter the correct Employee ID with no spaces, then click Save.
Go to Attendance > Roster.
Find the shift you were trying to edit.
Right‑click the shift to confirm the edit menu appears.
Once these details are corrected, you should be able to edit the roster shift as normal.
