CareBlox fob readers are designed to work only with fobs we provide. Third-party fobs may not work, and we can't support issues with them.

Incorrect Fob Error
If an employee tries to use a fob that doesn’t belong to them, an error message will appear on the screen. You can verify this by comparing the alpha-numeric code from the error message with the employee’s fob ID in the CareBlox system. If the codes don’t match, the employee should be re-linked to the correct fob.
To check the system:
Swipe the fob and note the alpha-numeric code (e.g.
6500a858c6).Log in to the Payroll module in CareBlox.
Go to Employees, double-click the employee.
Click the T&A tab and check the Fob ID.
If it’s wrong, update it and click Update.
Fob linking issue - CareBlox
If the fob is still showing an error when trying to be used, it may be that there is a disconnect between the fob ID linked on the terminal and the fob ID being kept on the main CareBlox system.
Swipe the fob and record the code.
Log in to the Payroll module.
Go to Employees, double-click the employee.
Click the T&A tab and check the Fob ID.
If incorrect, enter the correct code and click Update.
