Change the status of a client

Guide to correct a client’s status in CareBlox.

If a client was set to Discharged instead of Deceased, the best option (where available) is to re‑admit the client, then record the correct status.

How to correct this:

  1. Log in to CareBlox and open the Clients module.

  2. Click Clients.

  3. Tick Discharged to find the client.

  4. Click the ℹ️ (info) icon next to the client’s name.

  5. Click Re‑admit.

  6. Enter a Re‑admission Date.

  7. Select a Bed.

  8. Click Next.

Once re‑admitted, you can discharge the client again with the correct status.


Deceased instead of Discharged

If a client was set to Deceased instead of Discharged, this cannot be corrected directly.

Please use our Access Digital Assistant to get support and reference the title of this article. Include:

  • Home name

  • Client name

  • Current status

  • Required status

This will allow the support team to update the record correctly.
