Accidentally applied a roster template twice

Explains what to do if a roster template is applied by mistake, including how to clear a future week or safely remove duplicate shifts from current or past weeks.

Written by Katie Airey

There are two common situations when a roster template is applied incorrectly: a future week or the current/past week.

Template Applied to a Future Week

If a template has been applied more than once to a future week, you can clear the week and start again.

How to clear the week:

  1. In Roster, use the date picker on the left to select the affected week.

  2. Click Clear Week at the top of the screen.

  3. Click OK to confirm.

The week will now be empty, and you can re‑apply the correct template.

Template Applied to the Current or Past Week

If the template was applied to the current week or a past week:

  • You cannot clear shifts that are already in the past

  • Any future shifts can be removed manually

How to remove future shifts:

  1. Right‑click the shift.

  2. Select Delete Shift.

Shifts in the past will remain visible but will not have any hours recorded.
They may appear duplicated in reports (such as Rostered / Worked / Pay Hours), but they will not duplicate pay and do not affect payroll.
