Holiday entitlement for next year wrong

Helps explain why holiday hours may be deducted incorrectly and shows how to check the correct role entitlement before booking holiday.

Holiday Booked for Future Years

CareBlox only manages holiday bookings for this year and next year.

If an employee books holiday for a year beyond next year, the hours will still be deducted from next year’s entitlement.
To avoid this, do not enter holidays for years after next year until the holiday year has been reset.


Holiday Entitlement Incorrect on the Role

Another common cause is the holiday being booked against a role with the wrong entitlement.

How to check role entitlement:

  1. Open CareBlox and go to the Payroll module.

  2. Click Employees.

  3. Find and double‑click the employee.

  4. Go to the Roles tab.

  5. Check the Hols column on the right‑hand side.

If the employee has multiple roles, make sure the holiday is being booked against the correct role with the correct entitlement.
