Unexpected or missing T&A confirmations

Understand why Time & Attendance confirmations may appear for unexpected reason codes or why expected confirmations may be missing, and learn what to do next.

Written by Katie Airey

Time & Attendance (T&A) confirmations are used to help you review and verify staff hours before they are paid. Occasionally, you may see confirmations you don’t expect, or you may believe confirmations should have been generated but were not.

When this issue can happen

You may need to investigate if:

  • T&A confirmations are appearing for reason codes you do not expect

  • T&A confirmations should have been generated but were not

These situations are often linked to how a shift was created or closed, or how your home’s Time & Attendance rules are configured.

Important system behaviour

⚠️Important: T&A confirmations are always generated for:

  • TEMP shifts created via the terminal

  • Shifts that are auto‑closed by the system

This applies regardless of which early or late reason codes are used. This behaviour is expected and cannot be changed.

What to do next

If confirmations still look incorrect or appear to be missing, please use our Access Digital Assistant to get support and reference the title of this article.

When submitting your case, include the following information:

  • The Home the confirmations relate to

  • The reason codes being generated incorrectly (if applicable)

  • The employee(s) the confirmations are for

  • The shift dates and times involved

Providing these details helps us determine whether the behaviour is expected or if further investigation is required.

📌Note: If your confirmations are correct and you simply need to review or clear them, see Clear T&A confirmations.
